Marc Jacobs has provided a first look at his upcoming Spring 2013 line and it is actually suprisingly exciting. After Kitsuné has shown how well a collection inspired by F. Scott Fitzgerald can look, MJ has tken the same route. This time it is not "the Great Gatsby" who provides the theme, but another favorite of mine " Tender is the Night". The looks are therefore a great mix of classic pieces and colors, spiced up with some colorful looks and all over prints.
It looks like it's time to start saving up for next spring.
More looks after the jump!

If you haven't lived under a rock last year and haven't heard from Frank Ocean something went terribly wrong! This guy has released one of my favorite RnB projects ever with his mixtape NostalgiaULTRA, was featured by Kanye and Jay-Z on Watch the Throne and played some of the biggest festivals without even having released an actual album yet. It is pretty clear that the expectations leading up to his debut are as high as it can get. This week the RnB crooner has finally released some information on the project by naming the album title "Channel Orange" and the release date july 17. What is even better though is that instead of featuring any "hot" rapper, Frank Ocean has decided to keep features on the minimum by choosing only three partners in Andre 3000, John Mayer and earl Sweatshirt.

It looks like french Rockwear brand "The Kooples" is trying to set foot in Germany. While it is nearly impossible to miss the brand in Paris, they are not yet very well known over here. It looks like the brand wants to reach out to German customers by starting with two shop in shop concepts. Beginning with an instore Boutique in Berlin's Galerie Lafayette on july 8. a second boutqie in the Alsterhaus Hamburg will follow in september.
I've always liked the label especially their shirts and suits and their advertising campaigns are always entertaining as well, so I am defnately looking forward to this!

I've always liked the militaric aesthetic of Balmain garments. Therefore it's no suprise that the lookbook for Fall /Winter 2012 doesn't dissapoint. It seems like Olivier Rousteing was certainly a good choice for the brand. The collection was inspired by Russian Imperial Army uniforms and combines classic Balmain looks and materials with a fresh coolness. No wonder that everyone seems to love the label nowadays!

Wow this is such a refreshing take on skateboarding! Instead of showing crazy 30 stair Handrail stunts this 20-minute documentary by Andrew Lovgren focuses on the feeling of freedom that skaters get. Therefore the title "Freeling" is very well chosen and the video features great shots and great laidback music. This gives me a strong urge to dust off my old board and go surfing on the streets!
